Input ready query not working

$

Hi,

I've Created an input ready query on aggregation level of real-time info provider. But, when input ready query is opened in ANALYZER, I've following 2 issues. I made sure that Keyfigures are set to "Input-Ready" in query properties.

1. Unable to enter new lines (I had set "Allow entry of Plan Values")

2. Unable to save entered values. (SAVE/SEND function not appearing)

3. Also, every time i open query in analyzer, "Allow entry of Plan Values" is being de-selected. I've to manually set it up again. any reason for this behavior?

4. Also, when i open query, no characteristics are being displayed in the report but only aggregation of keyfigures. I'll have to "add drilldown" all characteristics from "Free Characteristics" area even though i added chars in the ROWS section of query designer. Any reason for this behavior?

Appreciate any help.

CR Exit - Sample Code

Hi Experts!

I need to create CR based on historical data and I'm planning on using the exit. There are plenty of possible combinations and noone can maintain that much amount of data, so that's why the other methods (attributes, dso..) are being disregarded.

Could anyone please post an example for the Customer Relationship exit? I've been searching around the forum and looking at the CL_RSPLS_CR_EXIT_BASE, but find myself missing information to complete my requirement.

Thanks in advance.

LOV Values Does Not Work When Clicked in BPS Planning Screen

$

Hi Guys,

Am in the process of testing our Planning Screen in readiness for our browser upgrade from IE8 to IE11.  This is BW 7.31 System, SP-Level 14 and SEM Release is 736, SP-Level 14.  The issue is when the Planning Screen opens up in a browser, am able to click on the LOV but when I select the actual value, nothing happens.  Here are my two scenarios below.  I would like to be able to use the LOV functionality in the Planning Screen effectively and likewise, to be able to see and open the "Document" folder in the BOBJ-Portal window.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Timi Jones

1.  (SCENARIO 1) - When I do not select the Compatibility Mode Setting:

I cannot select any value when I open the LOV.  I can see all values but when clicked, nothing happens.

My BOBJ "Documents' folder via Portal opens up correctly:

2.  (SCENARIO 2) - When the Compatibility Mode Setting is checked:

Now the LOV returns values when selected:

My BOBJ "Documents" folder via Portal disappears:

Hi,

i have build an aggregational Level on a Composite Provider that includes a dso with a characteristic marked as keyfigure.

When i want to create a Fitting Tabletype with CDS i can not figure out the fieldname for the char. Within the Agg-Level it is called:

1KYF_****&COMMENT the technical Name of the info obejct is /***/COMMENT.

Using RSPLS_SQL_SCRIPT_TOOL to create the type, i get the following:

Unbenannt.PNG

If i remove the last column from the type i get a type conflict.

Any experience with this?

Cheers

Question about Retraction from BPS and BI-IP into ERP

Hi all,

we have configured a retraction from BPS and BI-IP to ERP according to the following blog from SDN:

http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/3925

http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/3961

http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/4004

When we run our planning function the system tries to retract into the infocube from where we get the data but not into the ERP system where we want to retract the data to.

Does anybody this error?

What can we do?

Thanks in advance and best regards

SAP BPC 10.1 Embedded - Variable in Input ready query issue.

$

Hi All,

We have a requirement to use the disaggregation (by copy) utility that should copy the entered data on to the associated leaf ids. To do this, we have created a Direct Update DSO with the Planning switch On in the settings and included the DSO in multiprovider and finally as part of the aggregation level over which the input ready query is built. The input ready query holds the Hierarchy node variable that provides a dynamic feed in to the query.

Now the issue is that when we are trying to run the said query via AO, this hierarchy node variable do not populate the search help of master data hierarchical values. Further, in case we try to manually write the node's technical id, then upon the execution, would get in to a sequence of errors via popup that indicates hierarchical deduction issue. More specifically  the error seems to occur because program run of the CL_RSBOLAP_BICS_STATE_CONV class got terminated.

Based on the few trails we removed the 4 standard audit info objects from the DSO (like 0AMODE, 0ASOURCE etc.) and then we were able to run the query with disaggregation working fine. However even now, the search help of the variable would come out empty and we had to manually insert the technical id. After we saved sample data in DSO, the search help became visible with data. FYI the search help is set to look from master data and hence the issue here seems a bit ambiguous.

Can you please convey as to why this would have occurred and if we have a work around for the 2 highlighted aspects ?

P.S. Not sure if this might be related, though during the activation of the DSO with 4 Audit IOs the system gave warning stating the exceed of 16 IOs in the Key Part of DSO. After the 4 audit IOs were removed the DSO got activated w/o any warnings.

Appreciate your help.

Thanks,

Desaggregation not in Hana with currency conversion with fixed time Ref.

Dear experts,

I encounter an issue on an input ready report.

The structure contains:

- A key figure KF1 Input-Ready in Euros, with disaggregation value entered - Analog distribution.

- A key figure KF2 Not Input-Ready in Local Cur with Currency conversion to Euro (Conversion type with fixed time Ref.)

Then I set a breakpoint in the class CL_RSR_RRK0_PLAN (See Blog),

=> When I make an input on KF1, I see that the disaggregation is done in ABAP server.

Now if I change the conversion type to Variable Time Reference(Instead of with fixed time Ref.).

=> When I make an input on KF1, I see that the disaggregation is done in HANA.

Of course I would like to make the Currency conversion with fixed time Ref.

Thank you for your help.

IP Plan yearly value and post via invers formula to monthly value

$

Hello experts

I use a input ready formula to enter and plan the  year value.

So I try  to post the yearly values down on monthly level using  the invers formula technique .

Lets say operand JAN would then take the yearly value divided by 12 and the input ready formula is then the sum of all 12 operands ( Jan to Dec)

I though it is a smart way to do it instead to use planning function ( Standard, or Fox, or Exit).

However the input ready formula just updates January and adjust the formula. The Feb, Marz etc gets untouched.

Meanwhile I have doubts, that the invers formula technique may help me in that case.

Have someone a good idea how to solve it?

Thanks a lot for your inputs

Christian

PS: I use BW 7.3

wrong KF values in query when planning in DSO

Dear all,

I am planning an integer key figure in DSO.

My data model is DSO - Multi Provider - Aggregation Level - Query.

I want to plan the value only as 0 and 1.

In my DSO I also only have value 0 and 1.

But in the query, if I bulid it the way I want to have it, the system shows me 2 instead of 1, 1 instead of 0.

DSO planning 2.JPG

only if I add the key figure 0ROWCOUNT to the query, I will see the correct values in my real key figure.

DSO planning 1.JPG

this is what the key figure definition looks like:

DSO planning 3.JPG

any idea why this happens and how to prevent it? Becasue I don´t really want to have the 0ROWCOUNT in my query ...

Thanks

Char as KF issues

$

Hello Experts,

We are on SAP BPC 10.1 Embedded on HANA 7.40 system with SP14 level.

Have created a Multiprovider containing couple of standard and real time cubes with few Direct Update DSOs containing a "Char as KF" InfoObject.

Following are the issues related to the "Char as KF" :

1) To make the Multiprovider HANA optimized, we have had to remove out the DSOs containing Char as KF IO. Although from forums had an understanding that this was resolved in SP13 level; so not sure if there is further any setting associated to make the Multiprovider (including DSOs) a HANA optimized object.

2) Few validation reports are planned to be created on the Multiprovider. However, the Char as KF IO which is part of the Multiprovider does not become visible in the BEx Query Designer. Again please confirm if we have any setting associated with it.

Thanks,

Pankaj

use of Macros in BEx-IP planning workbooks

Hi,

I added following macro code in sheet "Sheet4 (BEx)" of BExAnalyzer and trying to assign this macro to a VB button inserted in workbook. But, i'm unable to find macro test123. what could be the reason?

Sub test123()

  Dim lResult As Long

  lResult = Application.Run("SAPExecuteCommand", "Refresh")

End Sub

Then, i tried same macro code in "ThisWorkbook" listed under "Microsoft Excel Objects" of VBA project of BI workbook.  Now, i am able to see macro test123 and assigned to VB button. But, when i click on VB button, i'm getting VB error 400. There must be something simple am doing wrong. Could someone point me in right direction or could someone share a sample of macro code as i'm actually trying to achieve "execution of planning sequence with variables by taking values from user inputs".

How to integrate Warning/Error/Success Messages with WAD ?

Hi,

I have a BEx WAD Application which is live and running fine. Its underlying objects include IP Objects such as Planning Sequences and Process Chains. In case a Planning Sequence gets successfully executed or gets an error, an error message is displayed on the WAD Application. Now the problem is, for one of these Planning Sequences the success message is not getting displayed. Indeed the help/guidance with how to identify the issue with this. Please let me know if I am not clear.

Characteristic derviation , method derive_hdb

$

Hi All,

the interface IF_RSPLS_CR_METHODS contains the method DERIVE for characteristic derivation, but also DERIVE_HDB. I would assume this is to be used for calling a procedure in the hana database.

However, I already implemented a hana procedure using the interface IF_RSPLS_CR_EXIT_HDB , by passing the procudure name to parameter e_procedure_name_derive in method GET_SQLSCRIPT_INFO.

Anyone know for what reason the method DERIVE_HDB exists (or the other similar methods CHECK_HDB , CREATE_HDB , etc.... ) ?

interfaces for integreated planning

hi,

i see that there are some limitations for using "variables" and "Dialog modules" with Input ready BEx queries. Just wondering if there are any other interfaces we can use other than "BEx input ready query" for planning in IP (similar to how there are various options in the old SEM-BPS).

Integrated Planning - execute planning function in planning function

$

hi,

i need to execute a planning function in a planning function.

The user case is: We plan data based on the cost element hierarchy and need to calculate (IP function) for each node the value.

We are using the IP function "distribution by reference data".

That works fine for one hierarchy node.

BUT we need to execute the planning function for each hierarchy node and pass the node to the planning function variable.

My idea is, that we build a custom function (fox formula) and execute throw a Loop over the enterd data (all cost element hierarchy nodes) the standard function.

I hope you understand my problem.

I something like this possible ???

thanks Simon

Difficulty implementing validation of user input (getting RSPLS_CR013)

$

We have a business requirement where the user creates new characteristic combinations (in the manual planning using AO 2.2) entering values for IOBJs ACCOUNT and CUSTOMER.

The following validation of the input of the user is required:  if selected ACCOUNT ends with 1 then CUSTOMER must be filled (i.e. <>'#').

We have tried to implement this through IF_RSPLS_CR_METHODS~CHECK in ZCL_RSPLS_CR_EXIT_BASE, but get the error RSPLS_CR013.

Please note: this is despite ACCOUNT and CUSTOMER NOT  being marked as 'access mode for result values' based on characteristic relationships. They are both marked as 'based on Master Data'.

Hence, the system requires that the valid combinations are generated in IF_RSPLS_CR_METHODS~CREATE, right???  We are reluctant to use this since it means that we would have to create the cartesian product of ACCOUNTs ending with 1 and CUSTOMER, which would be quite a LOT of combinations :-(

Another alternative we have looked into is to perform the validation using a FOX. This we have discarded since only message type E prevents invalid combinations from being saved, which in AO requires the user to log in again.

Summary: is the generation of the cartesian product of ACCOUNTs ending with 1 and CUSTOMER our only option for the simple check 'if selected ACCOUNT ends with 1 then CUSTOMER must be filled' or can someone suggest an alternative ???

We are on Embedded BI HANA 750 SP3 using BPC.
